William Mark Koenig

Mark Koenig, a retired Presbyterian minister, has served in congregations, presbyteries, ministries seeking justice and peace for the national church, and in the church’s Human Resources Department. Always his work has involved writing from sermons, prayers, and devotionals to policies, study guides and training events to more words about responding to the COVID pandemic than he cares to remember. Mark came to Philmont Scout Ranch in 1969 and fell in love with New Mexico. He and his wife moved to Albuquerque in December 2024 to be near their granddaughter, Lucy. Thanks to Alice Walker, he has a thing for purple flowers. Mark currently writes stories about his experiences with Lucy to share with family and friends and for Lucy to enjoy in the future.
