Mandy Hansen

Mandy Hansen is an educator and artist whose studio practice investigates personal and family memory, nature, and rootedness. She has exhibited in juried and invitational shows at multiple locations in Colorado including the Arvada Center for the Arts, Cottonwood Center of the Arts, Art Students League of Denver and multiple regional galleries. She is a member of Edge Contemporary Art Gallery in the Denver-metro area and has completed artist-in-residences at Ghost Ranch (NM) and Taleamor Park (IN). Mandy holds a doctorate degree in education with a focus on women and gender studies and is certified in forest therapy or shinrin-yoku. She has worked with communities internationally, served as an AmeriCorps and AmeriCorps VISTA volunteer serving migrant workers, and has taught several art workshops for children in Guatemala. She currently works out of a home studio at the base of the Rocky Mountains.
