Anderson shares experiences and Diné elder wisdom on land and improvisation. Anderson looks into historical New Mexico events such as the Long Walk and a New Mexico historical figure, Jacob C. Morgan, to understand how people survived in hard circumstances and systems. Anderson will conduct a fun improvisation activity highlighting Respect, Listen, Evaluate, Express and how you can apply it to navigating life. Anderson will pass on Indigenous knowledge of how everyone can live in beauty, balance and harmony. Beauty refers to the overall look of one’s life. Balance refers to who we are versus what we must do to survive. Harmony refers to our relationships to all things around us.

Anderson will also share breathing exercises to establish strong focus and activate the entire capacity of our lungs. Anderson will conduct exercises to different levels of breathing and understanding the science to how our body operates and how we take full advantage of our breath.

Enjoy jazz and improvisation performances by Delbert Anderson and Robert Muller, a Jazz Jam Brunch and a grand finale performance with the Delbert Anderson Quartet.
